Novakobx22/NovaThePerson Rebrand - Full Details
For the past 6+ years, the Novakobx22 channel has been evolving. It started with poorly recorded potato quality videos and after all of this time, it has turned into high quality content that fans love watching as much as I love making them. What has fueled this channel over the years is change. New ideas are very often thrown around for the channel, from new content, new channel looks, and more. The 2018 Novakobx22 Rebrand will perhaps be the biggest idea, and change, the channel has ever seen.
The biggest change from this rebrand is the new style and name. Since 2011, Novakobx22 has always stayed as Novakobx22, but today, that will be changing. From now on, Novakobx22 will be known as NovaThePerson. With this new name change also comes a new style for the channel. If it hasn't been obvious by the watercolor thumbnail and the new watercolor channel art, the new style will be more towards art.
Why did the channel name and style change? Well, I wanted to give the channel a new face. The previous style, which was dubbed the "modern" style, was considered pretty great at first (at least in my opinion lol) but now, it has gotten a bit old. This new art style will give the channel a breath of fresh air and will help make it a bit more unique.
This new style will also sort of carry over to our Discord server, Supernova City. Today, Supernova City will be renamed to Supernova Cafe, which means the server will now go towards a cafe style rather than a city style. Nothing will change too much, but I'm still considering introducing new features to help get more people into Supernova City, including game events and movie nights. If you have any suggestions or ideas, leave it in the #suggestions channel inside the server.
The mascot for the channel will also change. For about the past 2 years, the primary mascot of Novakobx22 has been the Novakobx22 Booksona, as seen on my previous avatar. DVD, the host of TOCC/TOCC 2 and the co-host of BAGUETTE TWO, has always been the secondary mascot. However, today, the Novakobx22 Booksona mascot will be retired, and DVD will now be the primary mascot of the channel. The new secondary mascot will be Twinkie, whom I am still considering making him the new co-host for BAGUETTE TWO.
Here are some other small changes to the channel and it's series:
- Gameplay videos are coming back...sort of. For now, my focus on gameplay is Planet Coaster, mostly roller coaster POV's and park features, but fans of the OSC do not need to sweat, since the object show community is still considered the channel's highest focus.
- Object Show Trivia and Best of Object Show's, even though they have the words "Object Show" in them, have been mainly focused on BFDI and I.I. only. Videos about other shows are pretty rare, because of this, OST/BOOS suggestions that have to do with BFDI or II will be ignored indefinitely. I'm not ruling out BFDI nor II from the series completely, I just want the spotlight on other shows.
- Back in January, I launched BFB Corrupted, a channel completely dedicated to only corrupted BFB videos and BFDI memes. Despite this, BFB Corrupted episodes have been still uploading on the main channel. However, the entire BFB Corrupted series will not permanently move to the BFB Corrupted channel. Also, I'll only be corrupting even-numbered BFB episodes. Odd-numbered BFB episodes will be corrupted by KingRockRuff, whose channel is located here .
- The Novakobx22 website will be going under reconstruction to fit the new Novakobx22 rebrand. Nothing much else to say about this.
So, as you can see, a lot of changes are happening to the channel with this new rebrand. It is quite sad to be retiring the Novakobx22 name after all of these years, but as I said earlier, this will give the channel a new breath of fresh air and will allow it to be more creative with itself. Even with all of these changes, all of your favorite series and shows, such as Object Show Trivia, Best of Object Show's, and BAGUETTE TWO, will still be here.
